What do you mean by "natural shampoos and conditioners"?
Commercial coat cleaning products are commonly used by grooming facilities since they are inexpensive and easy to find. These products are also usually shock full of chemicals and preservatives
that slowly degrade your pal's coat natural shine and texture, forcing you to invest in unnecessary vitamins and supplements to achieve that original look. At WashPaw we only offer both natural and
organic shampoos and conditioners free of harsh chemicals like PEG (Polyethylene Glycol), Parabens, Sulfates (SLS and SLES) and Phthalates.

here for more info. Nail trims are complimentary for VIP members. We reserve the right to refuse the provision of nail trim or filing if we feel your pal poses a risk to our staff. You may be asked to make an appointment and bring certificate of vaccination if you would still like for your friend to receive a nail trim or filing by our professional staff.
What are the licensing requirements for dogs to be served at WashPaw?
In accordance with state law, it is required for all dogs and cats six months or older to be vaccinated for rabies and registered with Davidson County. Click

What do I need to bring for my first appointment?
For our grooming salon, we are required to have a copy of your pal(s)' latest vaccination certificate. We do not accept rabies tags without a certificate.
My pal bites. Can I still bring him/her over?
Do all humans enjoy going to the dentist? We don't think so. So why should we stop your pal from having some fun? Sure, (s)he may have gone through a past traumatic experience at a grooming salon
but we know s(he) will enjoy WashPaw. Just be sure to let our staff know beforehand! If you will be using our self-serve washing stations and your pal is not a happy camper among other dogs, just
keep him/her close to you during the whole experience or give us a call as a "heads up" and we can let you know when is the best time to bring him/her over.
Can I make special style requests?
Are you kidding? Is there actually a grooming salon out there that is not willing to listen to what you expect your pal's new look to be?
Do you serve pets with flea and ticks?
Yes, we do! If you are aware of your pal currently having fleas and/or ticks, just let our staff know upon check-in so that we can address those pesky creatures immediately and relieve your pal(s)
from all the itching they cause. Our self-serve washing stations are also equipped with flea/tick shampoo solutions that are free to use for a dipping session.
What do you consider a "matted" coat?
If styling is desired our packages can be upgraded to deal with matted coats for an additional fee. These are coats that can't be brushed easily or will require our grooming staff to "break-down" the mat in order to free up the coat and get it ready for style/cut.
"Deep-skin" mats (those that are embedded down to the skin) may not be treatable and may require cut under sedation by a veterinarian.
However, we do not charge a matted-coat fee for coats that only contain a small number of "regular" mats like those that form easily on some types of fur.
Do you offer de-skunking services?
Yes! Our grooming salon is equipped to deal with the smelly mess using our professional-grade natural solutions. We will use a specialized shampoo followed by a thorough deodorization during the bathing part of your pup's grooming. Let us know during check-in your pal needs to be de-skunked!
What is your cancellation policy?
Grooming Salon: Unconfirmed appointments may be cancelled automatically if you don't confirm at least 48 hours in advance of scheduled time. Confirmed appointments cancelled 48 hours or more in advance do not incur a cancellation fee. Confirmed appointments cancelled within 48 hours or less from schedule time will incur a cancellation fee charged to credit/debit card on file equal to the value of the packages and services reserved.
Self-Serve Washing Salon: No-show to a reserved appointment will be cancelled and applicable cancellation fee equal to the full price of services reserved will be charged. No refunds. You will have up to 48 hours to re-schedule or cancel your appointment without incurring a cancellation fee equal to the full price of services booked.
